No prior experience with hypnosis is required to join Client Shifts. While some participants may already have a background in hypnosis, others will be starting from scratch. The program will include a dedicated Hypnotism Basics course, covering fundamental trance work and practical applications for change work.
This course will teach:
- How to guide someone into a hypnotic state (trance) in simple and effective ways.
- How to work with the plasticity of experienceâhelping people shift their perceptions, emotions, and patterns in meaningful ways.
- How to recognize and utilize naturally emerging hypnotic phenomena (e.g., shifts in awareness, attention, and experience), rather than forcing classic "stage hypnosis" effects like hand or foot sticks and name amnesias.
- How to apply hypnotically shaped states to changework, rather than focusing on performance-based hypnosis.
The emphasis is on interactive and co-creative trance work, where hypnosis is used as a tool to help clients shift their habitual patterns, rather than as a rigid, scripted process. The program also encourages hands-on practice and feedback, allowing participants to develop confidence and skill in a supportive environment.
For those specifically interested in stage hypnosis or overt hypnotic phenomena, separate resources (such as Hypnosis Without Trance) are available elsewhere, but that is not the focus of Client Shifts.
